| "Master Shogi" Training Set
Master Shogi is a shogi training set ideal for beginners who want to learn shogi quickly and easily, and for training classes that teach how to play shogi.
The set contains a folding game board, shogi pieces, stickers and two pamphlets with rules and illustrations to show you how the pieces move.
The pieces come with arrows on them to show how each particular piece can move.
Once you have learned how the Shogi pieces move you can convert the pieces to regular style koma (the Japanese word for "shogi pieces") by sticking the adhesive shogi koma stickers over the diagrams on the pieces.
The squares on the shogi board are marked to show you where to put the pieces when setting up the game.
The two pamphlets are clearly illustrated. One is an explanation of how to play shogi, with diagrams showing how each piece moves. The other is a "manga style" pamphlet going over the same material to help you learn shogi in a popular comic strip style.
Of course, both pamphlets are in Japanese, but if you can read hiragana you will be able to work with the rules as the kanji have "furigana". Even if you can't read Japanese, the diagrams show you clearly how the pieces move.
