My name is David Hurley. I’ve lived in Hiroshima, Japan for the best part of two decades now. One of my aims when I arrived in Hiroshima was to learn how to play mahjong and I’ve played various versions of Japanese Mahjong ever since.
I’ve also played quite a lot of Shogi, Igo, Hanafuda, Karuta (with my daughter in recent years) and also study the 100 Poets game.
I started selling Japanese games on the Internet around 2001. Manga quickly followed, and then various other products. Japanese-Games-Shop.com appeared in 2005 and things have developed from there. This latest, WordPress version of the site, was set up in November 2010.
